SUPPORT THE LAKE STEVENS COMMUNITY BAND!
The Lake Stevens Community Band was started in the Summer of 2021. In the past, we have performed at several city events including Music in the Park, Aquafest, and Winter Fest. Our concerts are always free and family friendly. Keep an eye on this page and our social media for our next concert date!
If you are interested in becoming a band member, please fill out the form below! There is also a yearly fee of $25 which goes towards the band’s funding. Prior to our performances, we rehearse on Monday evenings from 7:00-9:00PM in Lake Stevens.
The Lake Stevens Community Band is welcoming to all concert band musicians. This includes students. Please note that while in rehearsal and performance spaces, musicians under the age of 18 will be supervised at all times by a disignated LSAPF representative who has undergone a background check. Safety is a priority.
Instruments Needed:
Flutes, Clarinets, Oboes, Bassoons, Saxophones, Trumpets, Trombones, French Horns, Euphoniums, Tubas and Percussion
**In order to be successful, band members must be able to read music.

MEET OUR CONDUCTOR…
Alan Wiseman has a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia and a Masters of Music Education from Miami University with an emphasis in Instrumental Music. Previously, he has taught instrumental band at the Elementary, Middle School, High School and Collegiate levels. Alan has performed on a variety of instruments in jazz bands, marching bands, drum and bugle corps, symphony orchestras, wind ensembles and community bands. Currently, Alan teaches General Music K-5 in the Marysville School District.
MEET OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR…
Kate MacKenzie is a professional bassoonist, private lesson teacher, and arts advocate. She sits of the board of the Lake Stevens Arts & Parks Foundation and serves on the Snohomish County Arts Commission. It has been Kate’s dream to start a community band in Lake Stevens since she started volunteering in the community. She moved to Lake Stevens in 2017 after receiving a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Arizona State University. Click here for more information on Kate!
